On 16 February 2013, members of Essingen’s Voice of Music Choir joined a group of approximately 700 other regional choral members to sing as the opening act and back-up choir for the Oslo Gospel Choir’s 25th Anniversary Concert in Stuttgart’s Porsch Arena.
Choir members met for a day-long rehearsal in January to prepare and put the finishing touches on the songs we sang as the opening act and the grand finale “Shine Your Light.” The audience was over 5,000 strong, and it was an extremely power experience, looking through the stage lights and seeing an entire arena and floor seating area completely filled, not to mention the Oslo Gospel Choir on stage with their band directly in front of us!
I’ve NEVER sung for that many people before! What an eye-opening, music soul-awakening evening!
